Doll quilt

What child or grandchild wouldn't just love to have a handmade doll quilt for her favorite "baby"? These can be custom made to any size, but I generally make them in three sizes: 22 x 34, 17 x 29, or 12 x 24. The one pictured is 22 x 34. It is made from white and purple print 3 inch blocks (2 1/2 inch finished block).

I have many colors, so you decide what fabrics you'd like. In this one, I finished the edges with a tiny decorative stitch of purple leaves. I have pillows and pillow cases to match these little quilts to finish the bed ensemble.

Green Bag

This is a "Green Bag". It is designed to be used for grocery shopping to replace the plastic that we all have an abundance of. I make these either very simple or dress them up, but in any case, they are much prettier that the market bags at the stores.

The handles are very sturdy and have ties on each side to "snug" in your purchases. They have a little padding which will somewhat insulate your cold items. Can be used over and over, washed and dried. Let me know how many I can make for you

Healing Hearts Scripture Quilt

I made this quilt for a very special lady in my family who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. I got it made just in time for her to take it to the hospital when she had surgery. This is truly, I believe, what I am called to do. In the quilting world, one always tries for matching corners and no puckers in the quilting. Well, this one went together like a breeze. Funny how that works!

Scriptures were printed onto fabric and applied to a bigger heart. I liked that because it symbolizes to me that His word and love can always be in our hearts if we accept His wonderful gift.

This is a perfect gift for those who are hurting or are ill.

This can also be used just to have with all your favorite scriptures at your fingertips.. When I was with my son and daugter-in-law in Oklahoma this week, I found another scripture that is now one of my favorites.

Passage Psalm 57:1:
Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

Quilted Apples for the Teacher

I made this quilt for a kindergarten teacher in May 2009.


Each of her students signed an apple. The other fabrics had school related motifs, which coordinated beautifully with the school teacher theme.

I transferred a picture of her class to fabric and added to the back. I printed, "Kindergarten Class of 2009" and "Senior Class of 2021" above it. Then, of course, being the maker of the quilt, I added an apple with my own name and message.

Handmade Calendar / Notepad Covers

These little calendar / notepad covers are just the right size to put in your purse or bag. They are approximately 6-7 inches wide and approximately 9 inches tall when all closed up. I add pockets to the flaps and include a pen/pencil set, notepad and calendar. There are places you can add your notes, receipts, etc. Keep everything handy and in order. A must for all handbags!
